EAM arrives in Dhaka to attend Indian Ocean Conference

New Delhi/Dhaka, May 11 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday evening arrived in the Bangladesh capital to participate in the 6th edition of the Indian Ocean Conference.
He was received by Bangladesh’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam.
In a tweet, the EAM said he looks forward to meeting colleagues and friends from across the world at the Indian Ocean Conference.

“Look forward to meeting colleagues and friends from across the world at the Indian Ocean Conference.”
The Bangladesh Minister in a tweet posted:
“Always a pleasure to welcome @DrSJaishankar who has always supported @IOC_IF, this time hosted by @BDMOFA in Dhaka. Looking forward to his exchanges and share ideas for greater regional prosperity.”
EAM is visiting Dhaka from May 11-12 to participate in the 6th edition of the Indian Ocean Conference.
The Indian Ocean Conference will be attended by President of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun, Vice President of Maldives Faisal Naseem, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, and several Ministers from across the world.
